Takziah to the family of our late Mohammad Shazmeershah

Friday 30th April 2010.

A sad day for BSFT when the tragic news was conveyed early morning that one of BSFT player Mohammad Shazmeershah Omarshah passed away due to a vehicle accident. He was our versatile defender who made his mark for being one of our best player last season.

Condolences to his family and al-fatihah....

We shall miss you....
From BSFT Players and Management.

NBT FC (4) - Brunei Shell FT (2)

Tuesday 6th April 2010, 8.15pm, Belapan Field.

It was the battle of relegation as BSFT went down to Belapan Field for the second and faced off against NBT FC for the number 9th spot and a play off against Penjara FC.

It wasn't to be as in the final scoreline favoured NBT FC at 4 goals to 2 and BSFT officially relegated to Premier 2 in the next season of the Brunei Premier League.

Back to the drawing board for BSFT, till next season perhaps

Brunei Shell FT (2) - Majra FC (1)

Sunday 28th February 2010

At last BSFT managed to win on home ground. With the review in Brunei Times not so promising to our readers as Majra FC was going to be the likely winner on the day, BSFT was determined to exact the revenge on the 5th placed team in the Premier 1 league.

BSFT drew first blood on the 6th minute of first half when Ak Syazwan pounced on ball fed by the midfield and shot it past the national keeper Wardun to make it 1 - 0 to BSFT. Despite numerous attack by Majra's strickers, our defense was quite solid and goalkeeper Fadzhiren was on form.

Second half saw a determined Majra FC to get the equaliser and perhaps more goal. A superb ball pass saw Ak Syazwan got it one to one with Majra's keeper who instead of going for the ball, kicked Ak Syazwan in the heels and without hesitation the referee showed the red card to national keeper Wardun for his dangerous tackle. From the ensuing free kick, Ridzwan managed to shoot the ball past the wall and out of reached of the substitute Majra FC keeper.

Leading by goals saw a defense lapse by BSFT which allowed a Majra FC striker went with the ball from half line to score their only goal. The last 10 minutes was the most tense moments of the BSFT bench, subs and management alike. In the end we made our one step for survival in the Premier 1 league. Final score BSFT 2 - Majra FC 1.

The abandoned match between BSFT versus NBT is still being re-scheduled to a date and venue to be advised by the organisers. A draw at least will give BSFT a chance to stay in the Premier 1 league by winning the relegation play-off match with the runner's up in Premier 2.

Stay tuned!

Friday 12th February 2010, 8.15pm, BSRC

AM Gunners FC came down to Seria for this re-scheduled match against Brunei Shell FT with great hopes fo scoring goals and scored they did.

Brunei Shell FT without a single win in their last many outing away and at home braced for the onslaught from one of the most improved team in the League. With only 14 players available and regular goalie Fadhiren reporting sick in the morning, it was left to Termizi to keep out the goals for BSFT.

In the first half, AM Gunners managed to slot in an early goal at 4 minutes into play and another one mid first half. Second half saw a determined BSFT trying for goals and their effort rewarded with a goal from Ak Mohd Syazwan, however that was the only goal for BSFT. AM Gunners managed to slot a further 3 goals and the match ended at 5 goals to 1 for AM Gunners.

Brunei Shell FT stumbled in the home matches

Brunei Shell FT need to win their remaining matches in the DST Group Brunei Premier League if they want to remain in the Premier 1 in the next seasons. If they finished bottom, it would automatic relegation into Premier 2. Finishing in 9th position may offer a glimmer of hope with the play-off against the runner-up team from Premier 2.
Results of the last 2 games :-

Brunei Shell FT (0) - Indera FC (1)
Despite home advantage, BSFT did most of the back-peddling in the explosive match. Without regulars Fadhiren (GK) & Abd Afiz (DF), the team survive almost the first half from the attacking by the Indera FC strikers. A corner kick by Indera FC ended up in Termizi's back net and they lead 1 - 0 in the first half. The second half saw more of the same. Whilst playing in the good spirit of football, a lot of fouls against BSFT went un-noticed by referee and his assiatants (quality of referee-ing is clearly a serious matter for improvement!!!! - recent comments by an assistant manager of the one the Premier 2 teams is thoroughly supported!).
At the end of the nite, BSFT lose in the narrowest margin again on home ground. It was sweet revenge for Indera FC since they lose 1 - 2 to BSFT on their home leg July 2009.

Brunei Shell FT (1) - Wijaya FC (2)
BSFT came to match to avenge their defeat in the away leg in July 2009. With the coach and assistant coach on outstation duties, the assistant manager (Reini) step in the take charge of an almost complete first 11 line up. However lately there seems to be some jinx on our home ground dat we do most of the defending rather than the attackers. Having to come back from behind in the second half to level the score at 1 all, BSFT had to concede a penalty when Abd Afiz handled the ball in the small D area. Wijaya FC won the game at full time with 2 gols to 1 for BSFT.
First Eleven : Fadhiren (gk), Abd Afiz, Faidatul Zamri, Md Faizul, Md Abd Hafiq, Kamarul, Ridhwan, Reniel (C), Fakrul, Syazwan, Ezhar
Subs : Nizam, Khairul Azhar, Junaidi, Hazreen, Herman, Termizi, Md Sufi
