QAF FC (7) - Brunei Shell FT (0)

Tuesday 3rd November 2009, Padang Belapan, 8.15pm

DST Group Brunei League Cup

Another repeat of several encounters. BSFT seemed destined to meet QAF FC in the quarters for the last few knock out competitions. The signs were there for BSFT for a disastrous result on the nite. First on the team bus, there were only 3 players while the others opted to drive themself to the venue. We only brought our red away team jerseys colours whilst QAF FC also wore red on the night. Due to miscomminucations these clashes of colours were not avoided earlier. It was to far for us to get our second jerseys set in KB, whilst our opponents were adamant not to change their colour eventhough theirs was a stone throw's away. Thanks to Hj Rosanan and the organisers, jerseys were hastily arranged for BSFT inorder for the game to continue. On the start of the game, we had enough players with one substitute without our 3 first choice keepers, however bravo to Termizi for keeping out more goals than the results showed.
In the first half, we were down 3 - 0 and had to substitute Khairul Azhar(4) due to injury with Junaid(14). In the second half, BSFT had to play with only 10 players when Syazwi(17) was injured and could not continue. With this, the rot continue and another 4 goals by the opponent on the nite with several more saved.

Alas, the above were good reasons to say why BSFT lost that quarter final match, however with 25 players registered this is dismal. Back to the drawing board management team.!!!

We have to improve in the second rounds matches of the League to stay in the Premier I table, and there sure be many changes in the line-up of BSFT by the end of November 2009.
Stay tuned to this channel!!!

BSFT (5) - Muara Vella FC (1)

Friday 30th October 2009, 8.15pm, Padang JBS, Berakas

DST Group Brunei League Cup

Although with just enough players to make up the fisrt 11 and a goalkeeper the only substitute, it was quite a headache for the team officials. Nevertheless, with determination, the team played good futbol with getting a goal early in the second minute of the game. The opponent however equalised 2 minutes later. Clever play and experience show results when BSFT took the lead again before half time
Second half saw our strickers hitting the ball past the Muara Vella FC goal in the first minute after the whistle. BSFT added 2 more goals in this second half. Although having a comfortable lead over the opponents, our players seem pressurised and commit silly mistakes to concede 2 unneccesary yellow cards.

BSFT next opponent in the quarterfinals is QAF FC. The match will be played on Tuesday 3rd Nov 2009, Padang Belapan, 8.15pm

BSFT travelled to BSB with the hope of continuing their winning form on this rainy evening (which cleared the haze tough). However with the absence of all 1st, 2nd & 3rd choice goalies, it was a tall order for BSFT.
BSFT was lucky to have a 4th goalie (Mizi) who rescued the nite. BSFT was trailing already after 5 minutes due to a long high shot from Majra. Wednesday 10th June 2009. Penanjong Kem, Tutong.

BSFT made the away trip for the postponed game against ABDB to Tutong this time. Although it looks to be a tough opponent on paper, alas BSFT was determined to give ABDB a good fight for the ball.
Luck however was not our side as at the final whistle, BSFT went down on the solitary goal by ABDB.
Our next game will a home game against QAF FC at BSRC

BSFT (0) vs AH Utd (1)

Sunday 7th June 2009, BSRC Field, 8.15pm

It was a night not meant for BSFT despite being in control of the game from the first minute. Having numerous chances at the AH's goal post, hitting the woodwork, alert goalie denied BSFT's striker from making the break through. At the half time (45th minute), from a free outside the D area, AH capitalise with the only goal of the nite with a header that Shahrol could not stop.
